St. Xavier’s College- Mapusa Goa and Nirmala Institute of Education Panjim, collaborated in organising a session for the FY & SY B.Com students of St. Xavier’s College- Mapusa Goa on the 23/3/2026 from 10:45am-11:45am. The programme was an outcome of the MOU signed between the two institutions under the Xavier Board of Higher Education Institution. The resource person was CA Mr. Xavier D’Mello, presently working as an accountant at Nirmala Institute of Education Panjim, Goa.
Faculty Development Program on ‘An Immersive Art Experience’
Nirmala Institute of Education, under the aegis of NIE-IQAC, organised a one day Faculty Development Program on ‘An Immersive Art Experience’; for Faculty of member Institutions under the MOU signed for Xavier Board of Higher Education in networking and collaboration. The session was held on the 20th January 2023 at NIE.
The faculty from the following colleges participated in the program- Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem-Goa; Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar Goa; Don Bosco College, Panjim-Goa; and Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho Panjim-Goa;
The main objective of the program was to rekindle one’s artistic self and give a brief overview on NEP 2020 (Implications of AIL-Art Integrated Learning)
The resource person Mr. Raymond Pereira, Assistant Professor -Fine Arts at Nirmala Institute of Education, helped the participants to discover each one’s creative prowess through the various art centric activities and refreshed their artistic abilities. The sessions also infused a creative approach in the teaching learning process. A brief outline on Art Therapy and Art Integrated Learning highlighted the requirements of the NEP 2020.
