A session on the topic 'Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (PoSH) Act 2013' was conducted for the F.Y. and S.Y.B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the NIE Hall. The session was led by Ms. Priya Shirodkar and Ms. Abigail Fernandes, students of LLB and members of the PoSH Compliance Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar who shared valuable knowledge and guidance on the importance of creating a safe and respectful workplace environment for women.
RECRUITMENT DRIVE WITH PODAR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
On the 30th of January 2023 Nirmala Institute of Education (NIE) under the aegis of its IQAC organised a campus placement drive conducted by the Podar International school (PIS). The Podar group presently has a network of 139 Podar International Schools including one in Goa. The team consisted of six members.
The event was organised by Mr. Subodh Haldankar the Placement Cell Coordinator and Ms. Daniella Colaco Placement Officer of Nirmala Institute of Education.
The introductory session of the program was compared by pre-service teacher, Ms. Benit Boben. A brief introduction about the Nirmala Institute of Education was given by the Officiating Principal, Dr. Delia Antao. This was followed by an insightful presentation of the mission and vision of the Podar Education Network by Mr. Bipin Mahajan, Sr. HR Manager, PIS. The session came to end with the acknowledgment of the efforts by the placement cell done by pre-service teacher, Ms. Maribella.
