A session on the topic 'Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (PoSH) Act 2013' was conducted for the F.Y. and S.Y.B.Ed. students of Nirmala Institute of Education Panaji on 10th March 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the NIE Hall. The session was led by Ms. Priya Shirodkar and Ms. Abigail Fernandes, students of LLB and members of the PoSH Compliance Clinic of V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar who shared valuable knowledge and guidance on the importance of creating a safe and respectful workplace environment for women.
THE ART OF MANDALA
As part of the curriculum and under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell -IQAC; the Faculty of Art & Aesthetics -Visual Arts Mr. Raymond Pereira conducted a session on ‘THE ART OF MANDALA' from 19th-23rd August 2024 for the F.Y. B.Ed. Trainees. The objective of the session was to inculcate in each of the young teacher aspirants the finer nuances of Art.
The trainees were introduced to various concepts and symbolism of a Mandala. The trainees learnt about the basic shapes, patterns, principles of construction of a Mandala and created their own designs. Also, a hands-on demo was conducted on Dot Mandala. The session was very creatively refreshing for the trainees.
