Badminton (Singles) Intramural Competition 2026–2027

The Department of Physical Education and Sports, Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho, Panaji, organised the Badminton (Singles) Intramural Competition on 15th July 2026 at the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) Indoor Stadium, Campal, Panaji, for the students of F.Y. and S.Y. B.Ed. A total of 40 students participated in the tournament, and 40 matches were played throughout the competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students displaying exceptional skill, discipline, determination, and sportsmanship. The tournament provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their talent while fostering healthy competition, teamwork, and physical fitness.

In the Women's Category, Ms. Anushka Pereira (M.A. Wellness Counselling) secured the Gold Medal, Ms. Anushri Kane (F.Y. B.Ed.) won the Silver Medal, and Ms. Elita Siqueira (S.Y. B.Ed.) secured the Bronze Medal. In the Men's Category, Mr. Clive Fernandes (S.Y. B.Ed.) emerged as the Gold Medal Winner, Mr. Krupesh Velip (F.Y. B.Ed.) secured the Silver Medal, and Mr. Farhan Ahmad won the Bronze Medal.

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Sr. Sunitha Cruz, Director, Nirmala Institute of Education, as the Chief Guest. She congratulated all the participants for their commendable performances and encouraged them to continue participating in sports for their holistic development. She also presented the medals to the winners and appreciated the efforts of the organisers in successfully conducting the tournament. The event concluded on a high note, fulfilling its objective of promoting sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and the overall physical and personal development of students.
