NIE Congratulates Miss Pooja Borkar

हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में, प्रथम वर्ष बी.एड.

Nirmala Institute of Education, under the aegis of the IQAC, organised an awareness talk titled “Changing the Narrative on Suicide: Start the Conversation” on 10 September 2026, in observance of World Suicide Prevention Day.

The session was conducted by Dr. Akshada Amonkar, Consultant Psychiatrist, who sensitised students and staff to the importance of recognising signs of suicidal distress, addressing stigma and fostering open and compassionate conversations around mental health.

A reflective session on Understanding Emotional Intelligence was conducted on 9th September 2026 for the FY B.Ed. students, focusing on the four key areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.

Through thought-provoking questions students were encouraged to pause and reflect on their emotions, responses, and interactions with others.
