Nirmala Institute of Education, Panaji, in collaboration with the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), organised an awareness session on "Waste Management and Home Composting" for the First-Year B.Ed. students on 24th July 2026. The programme aimed to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable living among future teachers.
Parent Teacher Association Meeting
The Parent Teacher Association meeting was held on the morning of 9th August 2025, beginning with a hymn and a welcome dance. Ms. Olga Vaz welcomed the attendees, followed by the felicitation of Sneha Fernandes and an inspiring address by the Principal. Highlights included insightful sessions by Ms. Sulaxa Gawas on academic and emotional resilience, and Ms. Viola Castelino on personality testing, story of the Institute by the Director, Dr. Rita Paes. The Student Council was formally installed, and the new PTA Executive Committee was inducted: Mr. Tome Joao De Souza (President), Mrs. Celestina Augusta Cabral (Secretary), Mr. Andrew Fernandes (Treasurer), Mrs. Rofina Fernandes (Member), and Mrs. Daniella Colaco (Faculty Representative). The meeting concluded with a cultural programme presented by the teacher trainees and the Nirmala Anthem.
