4-Day Student Skilling Program in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) Sector
The Training and Internship Placement (TIP) Cell of Nirmala Institute of Education successfully organized a 4-day Student Skilling Program in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector from 23rd to 27th March 2026, with a holiday observed on 26th March 2026 on the occasion of Ram Navami.
This initiative was part of a program launched by the Government of Goa under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, in collaboration with NSE Limited. The program was executed by Talent Skillsvarsity with the aim of equipping students with essential knowledge and skills relevant to the BFSI sector.
The workshop commenced with a total of 61 students registering on the first day. The sessions were conducted by the Resource Person, Dr. Anuja Limbad, who brought valuable expertise and industry insights into the training.
Throughout the program, students were introduced to various fundamental and contemporary topics related to the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance sectors. The sessions focused on enhancing students’ understanding of financial systems, banking operations, investment concepts, and insurance principles. The interactive nature of the sessions enabled active student participation and fostered a practical understanding of the concepts discussed.
At the end of the program, on the final day, the students appeared for an assessment test to evaluate their understanding of the concepts covered during the training. This test served as a measure of the learning outcomes achieved through the program.
The program was coordinated by the TIP Cell of the Institute, comprising Dr. Subodh Haldankar, Dr. Pratiksha Shirodkar, and Ms. Daniella Colaco.
The Student Skilling Program proved to be a valuable learning experience for the participants, enhancing their awareness and preparedness for potential career opportunities in the BFSI sector. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to skill development and industry-oriented training for students.
