As part of the nationwide campaign to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) initiated by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE), Government of India, the Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Panaji, organized a Mass Pledge activity on campus. The pledge-taking ceremony at the Institute was organized in the college auditorium on 3rd October 2025 from 2:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Research Publications, Ethics, and Digital Content

Nirmala Institute of Education Library organized a one-day workshop on "Research Publications, Ethics, and Digital Content" aimed at enhancing the knowledge and understanding of researchers, academicians, and students on the intricacies of publishing research work, ethical considerations, and leveraging digital content effectively for the B.ed teacher trainees on 21st July 2023 which was conducted by Ms. Novelty R. Volvaikar (alias) Mrs. Saanvi A. Morjekar who is currently serving at Goa University as Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science.
The workshop enlightened the teacher trainees about the processes involved in writing and publishing research articles while following ethical practices. It also focused on various kinds of plagiarism and how to avoid them. The workshop made us aware about the predatory and cloned journals and how to identify them. The resource person then cited and demonstrated the use of various sites to access reliable digital content to aid in research.
The engaging sessions and interactive discussions provided valuable insights and practical guidance, leaving the participants better equipped to navigate the complexities of the research publication process and to conduct research with the utmost integrity.
