The session on Humane Education was organised in the context of the recent directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India concerning the management of the stray dog menace and public awareness. Taking note of the increasing incidence of dog bite cases, particularly in and around educational institutions and other public spaces, the Hon’ble Court has emphasised the need for scientific awareness, responsible community participation, rabies prevention, vaccination and humane management of stray dogs in accordance with the law.
IMMERSIVE ART EXPERIENCE - MINDFULNESS
As part of the curriculum the Faculty of Art & Aesthetics -Visual Arts, Mr. Raymond Pereira conducted a session ‘Immersive Art Experience -MINDFULNESS’ for the F.Y. B.Ed. Trainees. The objective of the session was to inculcate in each of the young teacher aspirants the finer nuances of art.
During the session the young aspirants were given a blank unit of paper, wherein each one explored and expressed themselves through drawing, writing quotes, poems, etc. The final artwork was done collating all the units / pieces together to form a Star shape design, which was based on the Academic theme " Step forward with courage, shine with confidence."
